Ten days ago, I was scammed out of $5,000. It’s a long story that I don’t feel like recounting, but the upshot is that I found an apartment on Craigslist that I just loved. Alas, it was scammers who placed the ad, who had keys to a vacant apartment, and got three months advance rent out of me before I discovered I’d been had. It was humiliating, and I’m back to square one in the apartment hunt.
My husband was the youngest of 3 boys and was 24 when the middle child (Jack) committed suicide. Jack had 2 young children, a boy and a girl. This action reverberated through the years. My husband fervently wished he had lived closer and been able to prevent it. I met my husband 20 years after this happened, and it was one of the first things he shared with me. Jack was a talented artist (we have some of his paintings and pottery). If only Jack had been able to think of his children and decide to just continue for one more day...
I'm including you in my prayers tonight. Take care.
